Abstract In present study the toxicopathology of melamine was evaluated. Total eighty one day old chicks of Cobb-400 were divided into four equal groups C, T1, T2 and T3. Melamine was fed orally @ 1%, 2% and 3% of feed and birds from control group were fed with only standard broiler ration for 28 days. Haematological and biochemical parameters were altered mainly on dose dependant manner due to kidney damage. Grossly, kidneys were pale and white chalky material was present. Microscopically, tubular necrosis, eosinophilic casts, haemorrhages, leukocytic infiltration, basophilic tubules and regeneration of tubular epithelium were observed on dose dependant manner.
