Abstract The effect of dietary turmeric (Curcumin longa) at dose rate of 0.05% in experimential salt toxicity was studied. Feeding salt severely affected the brain, liver, lungs, bursa of Fabricius and spleen. However, dietary supplementation of turmeric at 0.05% along with salt toxicity reduced the damages in the brain, liver, lungs and bursa of Fabricius.
