Factors affecting sex ratio in beetal goats

Summary

The data on 1440 Beetal kids born between 1988 to 2007 at Goat Breeding Farm, CCS HAU, Hisar were analyzed to study the factors affecting the sex ratio in Beetal goats. The male to female sex ratio was 50.35:49.65%. The percentage of males was higher in the months of May to October, whereas was it was higher in females in the months of November to April. The sex of kids was not significantly affected by year, month, season and type of birth.
