Abstract The key objective of this paper is to examine the significance of human development indices in the achievement of MDGs and SDGs at the global level. Further, this paper critically examines the achievements in MDGs & SDGs in different regions such as Developing, Latin America and Caribbean, South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and World level. The present study is purely based on secondary information and data sources. The relevant data for the study has collected from the various UNDP reports and Reports of the Secretary-General on the work of the Organization.
