Abstract It is universal truth that infrastructure development is a vital component of economic development. Infrastructural development can be identified at various levels of geographical regions such as national levels, zonal levels, state levels and district levels. Today, in the 21st century there is no denying the fact that globally, there is a ‘development gap’ not only between nations but within them as well as within the sub regions of the nations and that this gap varies among regions.
