Online published on 6 September, 2014. Abstract The aim of this research is to study relationship between personality types and leadership styles in Iran. The nature of research method is descriptive-correlation and the goal is to make it applicable. Research society contains 2571 general managers in governmental organizations of Iran and sample contains 334. Results show that there were a positive meaningful relationship between Extrovert and Relationship-oriented, Openness to experience and Relationship-oriented, Agreeableness and Relationship-oriented, Conscientiousness and Relationship-oriented, Conscientiousness and Task-oriented. Too, Results show that there were not a meaningful relationship between Neuroticism and Relationship-oriented, Neuroticism and Task-oriented, Extrovert and Task-oriented, Openness to experience and Task-oriented, Agreeableness and Task-oriented. Also, study of independent and dependent variables situation showed that general managers in governmental organizations of Iran are people that have Low stress, anxiety, Cyclothyme and depression and high Extrovert and moderate Openness to experience and high Agreeableness and high Relationship-oriented and moderate Taskoriented.
