Online published on 6 September, 2014. Abstract Paying no attention to ergonomic principles and not following them in the workplaces will lead to high costs for employer as well as employees. It causes the reduction of efficiency and increases employee's stress as well. If the ergonomics technology is used correctly, it can make reduction of health problems and job security in the workplaces and it can cause to increase efficiency. The main goal of this research is examining the role of ergonomy and its relation with employees’ occupational stress. The conclusions which were drawn from this study stated that there is a meaningful relation between ergonomics of workplace and occupational stress. It is worth mentioning that, in order to gather information, a 26-question questionnaire has been used.
