Abstract The present study has been provided with the objective of investigating the status of organizational citizenship behavior of high school teachers in Iran (babol). Data was collected by organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire of Fareh et al (1997) with the reliability equal to 0.94. Population of this study consists of all high school teachers in Babol equal to 1070 persons. The obtained sample according to Morgan table is equal to 250 persons of which 202 persons were investigated finally. To analyze the statistical data, descriptive statistical indices such as mean value, standard deviation, and frequency have been used. Summary of data analysis indicated that seven factors of organizational citizenship behavior (civic virtue, altruism, conscientiousness, personal mutual coordination, organization resource protection, sportsmanship and courtesy) have appropriate status among the teachers.
