Abstract This research aims to study the relationship between social capital and performance of staff working in Education and Training organization of Zahedan city. This descriptive research is of correlation type. Statistical population included 300 female and male staff in Education and Training organization of Zahedan city which 170 of them were chosen according to Morgan's Table and by stratified random sampling. Social capital situation of staff was evaluated by means of Nahapiet and Ghoshal (1998) social capital questionnaire and Heydarzadegan staff performance questionnaire was used to evaluate performance of staff. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was utilized in order for determination of questionnaires’ reliability which the reliability of social capital and performance questionnaires was respectively 0.97 and 0.93. Data were analyzed by statistical indexes such as mean, Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test, one-way variance analysis and regression. Results indicated that the extent of social capital and level of staff performance is average and also social capital and all of its aspects have positive and significant relationship with staff performance. Communicational aspect of social capital can predict staff performance, more and also there is no significant difference between social capital and male and female staff performance.
