Abstract The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between perceived organizational support, job satisfaction and affective commitment in Iranian oil industry. This paper is driven theoretically by the concept of perceived organizational support which is the commitment of the organization to the employee, as well as the other relevant literature in the human resource management and organizational behavior research. Data was collected from 295 personnel who were randomly chosen from various departments of Imam Khomeini Oil Refining Company. The instrumentation of the study, which was a paper-and-pencil questionnaire, consisted of three measures (Perceived Organizational Support Questionnaire, Job Satisfaction Questionnaire and Affective Organizational Questionnaire) based on 5-point Likert item from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree". The collected data was analyzed by using SPSS software. Based on research method, Pearson linear coefficient, the results revealed that positive correlation existed between perceived organizational support, job satisfaction and affective commitment; therefore all hypotheses of this paper were confirmed.
