Abstract

Spraying of aldoxycarb (5000 μg/ml)on pea plants resulted in retention of high residues (304.5 μg/g)without any discernible phytotoxicity. The dissipation of aldoxycarb in shoot was dose dependent. Its residues in shoot, root and soil persisted beyond 60, 105 and 75 days, respectively. The residues were rapidly translocated from foliage to root and exuded into the soil with maximum residues on 7th day under field conditions and within 24 hr in pots. No penetration of larvae of Meloidogyne incognita into root could be seen upto 3 days of spraying.
