Effect Of Stunt nematode, Tylenchorhynchus nudus on the gr0wth of sugarcane and micronutrient content in leaves Haider M.G., Nath R.P., Sen A.1, Spectroscopist DepartmeAt of Nematology, Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar-848125, India. 1Present Address: Sugarcane Research Institute, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar. Abstract A direct correlation between increasing Tylenchorhynchus nudus populations and decreasing sugarcane plant growth as well as Mn, Zn and Fe contents of leaves has been established. Significant reduction in plant growth started from 1000 individuals, of all stages, ‘per’ 100 g soil. Zn and Mn reduced significantly at an initial population of 10 nematodes per 100 g soil while Fe was reduced significantly at 10,000 level only.
