Parasitism and interaction between Pythium myriotylum and Meloidogyne incognita in soft rot complex of ginger Lanjewar R.D., Shukla V.N. Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, Nagpur-440001, India. Abstract An interaction between Pythium myriotylum and Meloidogyne incognito on ginger resulted in fungal antagonism against the nematode in the rhizosphere, though the infection by the fungus and infestation by the nematode, existing concomittantly, did not affect the disease syndrome. Amendments of soil by application of cakes did not result in control of either of the pathogens. Top Key words Disease complex, Pythium myriotylum, Meloidogyne incognito, ginger. Top | |
