Susceptibility of certain varieties of cluster bean to the root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita Verma A. C., Pathak A. K., Yadav B. S. Department of Nematology, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur, Rajasthan. Presented at Nematology Symposium held at Coimbatore, India in February, 1981 Abstract Thirty four varieties of cluster bean (Cyamopsis tetragonaloba) were screened and none was found immune or resistant. Among fourteen varieties which were found tolerant (gall index 3.0 and 2 to 15 galls per plant), RGC-760 had only two galls and two egg masses per plant. Moderately susceptible varieties were six in number (3.4 gall index and 16 to 20-5 galls per plant). Remaining varieties were susceptible to highly susceptible (gall index of 3.6 and galls ranging from 21.5 to 45 per plants). Top | |
