Changing trends of poisoning in Surat

Summary

The study was conducted on 145 cases of poisoning brought to mortuary of New Civil Hospital & Government Medical College, Surat during the year 1999. Out of the total 2047 Post Mortem Examination at this Center in the year, 7.08% cases were of Poisoning. Males were more common as compared to the Females. Various aspects in relation to poisoning and their circumstances are discussed in this paper.
