Online Published on 12 January, 2024. Abstract Digital forensics is a field of forensic science that includes the extraction, acquisition, processing, and analysis of digital evidence. Digital evidence includes mobile phones, SIM cards, Memory cards, Hard drives, computers, laptops, Mass storage devices, etc. Mobile phones are often found on the crime scene or recovered from any suspect which is most valuable for the investigator to get more information about the case and the suspect. This also helps in linking different suspects and victim to the crime scene. Thus, a device is required for extracting the data from mobile phones and this can be done by UFED 4PC, which extracts the data in the computer language.This article includes the extracting of data from mobile phones, SIM cards, and Mass storage devices like pen drives and includes the whole process of extracting.UFED 4PC is thus a very reliable and efficient tool that aid the investigation process for Mobile Forensics.
