A study of organ weight in relation to body weight and body length in Ahmedabad Region

Abstract

The present study was conducted to determine standard organ weight and its relation to body weight and body length in autopsy cases in Ahmedabad region at Forensic Medicine Department B. J. Medical College Ahmedabad. In present study 224 cases (178 male and 46 female) were included. Body weight and body length was measured to correlate with body organ weight. It was found that weight and length of different organs were positively correlated to body weight in both sexes except spleen.
