Abstract A rapid sensitive method was developed for the analysis of organ phosphorus insecticides (phosphorate, malathron, chloropyriphos, Diazinone and ethion) in human blood and plasma. The insecticides are extracted from the samples in the acidic medium with N. hexane and was concentrated by passing through nitrogen gas. The insecticides were measured by means of Nitrogen Phosphorus Detector gas chromatography. The extraction recovery of above mentioned compounds were between 75–99% for blood and 78–86% for plasma. This method may be of value in confirming suspected cases of exposure (intentional/Accidental/homicidal) to this insecticides.
