Summary

In vitro clonal propagation of Aneuploid No. 82, an important dwarfing rootstock for guava, was achieved using nodal explant. Woody plant medium (WPM) supplemented with 2 mg/litre BAP was found to be best medium for culture initiation, while the same medium with lower doses of BAP (1 mg/litre) produced highest number as well as length of shoot. A significant effect of different basal media on quality of shoot during proliferation was also observed. Addition of dual auxins (IBA & NAA) @ 0.2 mg/litre each resulted in higher frequency of rooting.
