Studies on Boron Deficiency in Roses Tlwari L. P., Bajpai P.N. Department of Horticulture, C. S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur Summary Symptoms of boron deficiency were studied in sand culture and water culture experiments during 1978. The foliar symptoms started appearing about 15 days after commencing the deficiency treatments. The plants were stunted after the death of apical bud. The reduced number of branches, flower number and flower size were found in both the cultures than control which were expected due to the deficiency of boron. 0.2 per cent borax solution for foliar application was found suitable to its recovery.
