Chlorophylls, Dry Matter and Leaf Area in Relation To Vigour of Different Mango Rootstocks Pal R. N., Srivastava R. P., Singh N. P., Chadha K. L Central Mango Research Station, Lucknow-226 006. Summary Seventeen mango rootstocks comprising of ten polyembryonic (Bappakai, Chandrakaran, Goa, Kurukkan, Moovandan, Mylepelian, Nekkare, Olour. Pahutan and Villai Collamban) and seven monoembryonic (Chausa, Dashehari, Kalapady, Latra, Random Seedling, ST-9 and Taimuria) cultivars were screened for their different chlorophyll fractions viz., protochlorophyll, chlorophyll-a, chlorophyll-b, total chlorophyll and ratio of chlorophyll a/b; leaf area, dry matter and moisture percentages in relation to vigour of the plant in the seedling stage. Goa appears to be very vigorous followed by Bappakai, Chausa, Kurukkan and Villai Collamban; whereas Taimuria, Moovandan and Kalapady appear to be dwarf on the basis of different chlorophyll fractions and dry matter content.
