Genes Conditioning Resistance of Linum Species to Indian Races of Linseed Rust

Summary

In seven species of Linum, genes for resistance to Indian races of Melampsora lini were determined. L. gallicum carried one gene in L. locus; L. flocossum carried one gene in any locus other than L or P; L. strictum and L. angustifolium carried one gene in each, which were located in a new locus designated in these studies as D; L. creptans carried two genes in L and D loci; L. tennue carried two genes in L and N/P; and L. perenne carried two genes in L and D loci.
