Ulcerogenic Activity of Certain Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs and Enzymes on Gastric Mucosa of Rats Misraulia K. S., Kaskhedikar P. Department of Veterinary Medicine, College of Veterinary Science and A.H., Mhow (M.P.). Abstract Effect of administration of aspirin, diclofenac sodium, flurbiprofen, nimesulide, piroxicam, serratiopeptidase and trysin-chymotrysin was evaluated on gastric mucosa for ulceration, if any. The results revealed that nimesulide, serratiopeptidase and trypsin-chymotrypsin have safety profile, while with the remaining drugs the incidence of ulceration was 100 per cent.
