Online published on 31 March, 2014. Abstract The article gives a brief account of the author's experience of a snake bite. In an attempt to save the endangered lion cubs he was bitten by a poisonous snake (Indian cobra) when he was Director of the Zoo. The story goes with the narration of tidbits of many people's effort to save the author's life with the associated post-bite stress which lasted for about four months. The experience reveals the author's benevolent approach to save the living creature at the cost of his own life.
