ABSTRACT Twelve male buffalo calves (10 to 12 months of age) were divided into 3 groups of four each and fed similar diets, however, concentrate mixture of groups B and C was added fluoride (as NaF) to make the final fluoride concentration 30 and 60 ppm, respectively, during the experimental period of 90 days. Blood samples were collected at 0 day and thereafter at monthly intervals. There was a significant decrease in haemoglobin value (10.96±0.18) and a significant increase in eosinophils (7.25±0.61), monocytes (1.25±0.20) and basophills in group C animals, however, fluoride @ 30 ppm did not alter the haemoglobin and differential leukocyte counts in group B. A non significant decrease in blood glucose and protein was observed in treatment groups. Top Keywords Buffaloe, Fluoride, Hematology, Biochemical. Top |
