Abstract The role of infrastructure is important in the Economic Development of an Economy. Basic Amenities are those services which support the meaningful life of human beings by meeting their general needs. The development of infrastructure is increasing in every century. There is a close relationship between infrastructure development and rapid economic growth. That is why the United Nations Conference in 2015 has aimed at infrastructure development with emphasis on social and economic aspects. In this backdrop, while the entire nation is celebrating the 75 years of independence, 68.34% of the villages in Wardha district of Maharashtra face acute shortage of drinking water. This makes it important to research such basic infrastructure facilities in Wardha district that are named after Mahatma Gandhi. So as to help fill these gaps and shed light on them.
