Genetic variability and heritability for seed yield and its components in sesame (Sesamum indicum l.) Nayak P. K., Mishra L. D., Pradhan B., Mishra T. K. Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India Online published on 19 March, 2018. Abstract The analysis of genetic parameters for 30 genotypes of sesamum revealed high GCV, PCV, heritability and genetic advance as per cent of mean for number of capsules per plant, number of capsules in main stem, number of primary branches per plant, height upto first capsule and seed yield per plant indicating that selection could be effective for improving seed yield and yield attributes.
