Shoot proliferation from cotyledonary nodes of pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) Kshirsagar Ashwinikumar B., Chaudhari Aniket A. Department of Plant Biotechnology and Plant Breeding & Molecular Genetics, Institute of Biosciences & Technology, MGM University, Aurangabad431003, Maharashtra State India Online published on 23 October, 2023. Abstract In-vitro propagation of pomegranate through auxiliary proliferation from nodal explant was studied. For this purpose the explants fortified with various concentrations of Benzyladenine (BA) were employed. Benzyladenine at the concentration of 10.0 μM was found superior for shoot initiation, number of leaves and number of shoots per explant. The treatment with silicea (60μl/l) resulted into remarkable structural development of the explant. Top Keywords Silicea 200CH, Benzyladenine (BA), Cotyledonary nodes, Pomegranate and fruit crops.
