Soil salinity affects total nitrogen uptake in plants and nitrogen contribution of the soil. In the present investigation the conventional sand culture technique has been employed tostudy the effect of salinity on nitrogen contentin C.juncea, C.juncea var. K-12 yellow, C. retusa, and C. verrucosa. The nitrogen content is differently affected in various Crotalaria species. It was observed that the N content got affected differently in different parts of the Crotalaria species investigated.
