Abstract During present investigation, the fungal pathogen causing root rot disease of soybean known as Fusarium oxysporum was isolated from infected roots and its pure culture was obtained. The culture medium prepared using Soybean leaves was found to be most suitable for mycelial growth and sporulation of Fusarium oxysporum, at an optimum temperature of 28°C.
