Antibacterial activity of bacteriocin producing lactic acid bacteria Shah Rajesh Kumar, Saikia Apurba1 Department of Zoology, D.H.S.K. College, Dibrugarh 1PG Depatment of Life Sciences, D.R. College, Golaghat Online published on 6 October, 2021. Abstract During present study bacteriocin producing Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) were isolated from curd. Eight acid producing strains were isolated form the sample. The bacteriocin activity of these strains was screened by agar well diffusion method for which Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were used as indicator species. Out of 8 isolates, 2 isolates showed bacteriocin activity against both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. Top Key Words LBA, Bacteriocin, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus. Top | | |
