Analysis of rainfall received at Nashik district (Maharashtra state) Sapna, Gavit B. K., Bonsod R. D., Barai V. N., Nimbalkar C. A. Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri-413 722 Online published on 14 November, 2019. Abstract Analysis of rainfall data is useful for better agricultural planning, water resource management and proper crop planning. During present investigation data on daily rainfall for the period of 55 years (1961–2015) at 15 tehsils of Nashik district were collected and annual and monthly mean, SD and CV were calculated to assess rainfall variability. Highest annual rainfall was observed at Igatpuri tehsil (3008 mm) whereas minimum at Devla tehsil. Maximum variation in rainfall was observed at Chandwad (33.9 per cent), while minimum at Igatpuri (25.9 per cent). There was increasing annual rainfall trend at Niphad, while it was decreasing in Sinnar. Most of the tehsils showed higher rainfall during July to October.
