Regional Extension Centre, College of Agriculture, Dhule Online published on 27 August, 2019. Abstract Field experiment was conducted during the year 2016 at Post Graduate Research Farm, Agronomy Section, College of Agriculture, Dhule. The experiment consist of twelve treatment combinations were laid out in split plot design with three replications. The main plot treatment consisted of three plant spacings viz., S1-45 × 15 cm, S2-45 x 22.5 cm, S3-60 × 15 cm and four sub plot treatments of topping viz., T0-No topping, T1-Topping at 50 DAS, T2-Topping at 60 DAS and T3-Topping at 70 DAS. The results revealed that, plant population was higher in close spacing of 45 x 15 cm. However, spacing had no effect on plant height. Number of branches and dry matter accumulation were higher under wider spacing of 60 × 15 cm. Yield attributes were superior due to 45 × 22.5 cm spacing. Top Keywords Topping, spacing, cotton. Top |
