Online published on 29 November, 2017. Abstract Introduction Cervical Cancer has emerged as the largest killer, surpassing breast cancer. From the time of diagnosis, the quality of life of every cervical cancer patient and survivor is affected in some way. Such results impact body image, self-esteem, relationships with partners, and sexual and reproductive issues, while adding to an overall decrease of Quality of life in women with cervical cancer. Quality of life is one of the health outcomes that enable healthcare providers to better address the ongoing concerns of cancer patients. Aim To study the Quality of life of women with cervical carcinoma in selected hospital of Punjab. Materials and Methods A descriptive study was conducted on 150 women with cancer of cervix in Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital, Punjab, who were selected by convenient sampling. Socio-demographic data, clinical profile and standardized scale (FACT-Cx) was used to assess the Quality of life. Results The findings revealed that majority of women (55.3%) had low Quality of life. Mean percentage was maximum (55.58%) for emotional well being followed by additional concerns (52.35%), physical well being (50.9%), social well being (47.7%) and the least score (47.7%) was for social/family well being. Significant association of Quality of life was found with age, education, occupation, place of living, marital status, number of children, stage of cancer and duration of illness. Conclusion Social and family support alongwith communication have been found to be important factors and may also be partially responsible for better Quality of life in this particular subset of women.
