Temples of Jaunsar-Bawar: Architecture and Legends Arora Gitima Research Associate, Centre of Excellence, Dept. of Anthropology, University of Lucknow, Lucknow Abstract This paper is a result of the fieldwork conducted in Jaunsar-Bawar (Dehradun district, Uttarakhand) for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology. This study was confined to the Jaunsari villages of the Chakrata Block (Tehsil Chakrata). The area is replete with temples of various cults, paramount and minor.
