Abstract Four villages/localities of Morena district (Jigni, Dimni, Bagchini and Noorabad), two of Bhind (Mehgaon and Birkhadi) and three of Gwalior (Nagor, Mahrajpura and Utila) were free from downy mildew incidence. The maximum incidence of downy mildew was recorded in Phoof (5.0%) of Bhind district, Badagaon (2.1%) of Gwalior and Porsa (3.0%) of Morena district of northern Madhya Pradesh.
