Abstract Migration is the movement of people from one place to another and it may be permanent or temporary. When People migrate permanently from one place to other is the permanent migration and opposite to it is the temporary migration. Now question is why people are migrating, answer of this question vary from place to place and type of migration. Today, in the era of globalization, privatization and modernization the most common type of migration is rural to urban. People migrate to urban area because of many push factor existed in the rural area. The area may lack with good education system, health services, employment opportunities, shortage of other day to day services etc. push people to migrate in urban area. The area of sending is source area and area of receiving is destination area. There is more development and availability of services in the destination area motivates people to migrate. These services may be good private and public education system, good private and public health services, more chance of employment, standard of living etc. this paper tried to find out social impact of migration by study of comparative analysis of education and health services at source and destination area. Some statistical tools like frequency, cross tabulation, paired sample t-test has been used to achieve objective of this paper.
