Abstract In modern business environment, there is an increasing recognition to the positive value of managing human resources by developing individual“s psychological resources. In a rapid change of work environment, employees“ engagement is becoming an important focus of human resource activity. Increasing employees“ engagement is very essential and a major challenges for organizations. Enhancing positive psychological capital (PsyCap) at the workplace can be beneficial which may play important role in enhancing employees“ engagement. The present study was conducted on 215 employees working in private sector organization in India. The results of correlation coefficients indicate that hope, optimism, resilience and self efficacy were found to be significantly positively correlated to physical engagement, emotional engagement, cognitive engagement and overall employees“ engagement. The results of stepwise multiple regression analysis reveals that optimism and resilience were found to be important predictor of physical engagement of employees. Optimism and hope were found to be important predictor of emotional engagement. Optimism and self-efficacy were found to be important predictor of cognitive engagement. Optimism and resilience were found to be important predictor of overall employees“ engagement. It can be concluded from the obtained results that increasing positive psychological capital is essential for organizations because it may play important role in enhancing the employees“ engagement which in turn will improve the employees“ performance.
