Abstract In this research paper, buckling analysis of Stiffened Curved Panel (SCP) with straight and z-shaped stiffener under uniaxial compressive load was carried out. The buckling behaviour of straight and z-shaped stiffener on composite curved panel for various panel radius(R), stiffener thickness (ts) and distance between two consecutive stiffeners (d) were studied and compared. Among the three design parameters stiffener thickness shows the highest buckling load than the other parameters. The stiffened curved panel with z-shaped stiffener has higher buckling load capability than the straight shaped stiffener. Finite element analysis was used to perform the buckling analysisusing ANSYS software. This paper will propose the suitable stiffener for composite curved panel and will act as a reference for the study of curved panel.
