Abstract This paper presents low cost and effective implementation of non-inverting buck-boost converter for photovoltaic system. An improved switching scheme is introduced for attaining high efficiency during buck, boost and buck-boost mode. The investigation of system structure for various output current and supply voltage is performed by PSIM software and experimental method. The supply voltage of non-inverting synchronous buck-boost converter range from 9.4 – 16V with its load voltage set to 12V. It can provide the load current up to 1.5A and its maximum efficiency is 92%. The simulation and experimental results are shown to validate the excellent performance and operation of the proposed system. Top Keywords Buck-Boost converter, PWM, PID Controller. Top |
