Abstract The present work demonstrates optimization of Wire Electrical Discharge Machine setting parameters for machining different composition of AA6063/SiC composites with multiple performance characteristics such as material removal rate, surface roughness and cutting width based on the Grey – Taguchi Method. The machine setting parameters considered in this research work are gap voltage, pulse on time, pulse off time and wire feed. Taguchi's L9 Orthogonal Array was used to conduct the experiments and the optimal levels of machine setting parameters were identified using Grey – Taguchi Method. The results show that optimal levels of machine setting parameters for attaining the desirable values of different performance measures will differ.
