Abstract Huge volume of information is available on the web. However, the proper deployment of the information is cumbersome due to the diversity of similar information provided by different organizations as well as technological gap between the end user and the system. To address these heterogeneities between similar information, integration of related information, effective retrieval of required information and fill the technological gap between systems and users is the need of the hour. Weather systems are taken as a case study based on its diverse application in all the fields. Moreover, weather information is available from different systems with various heterogeneities. In this paper, we have proposed a framework, which bridges the gap between information requirement and availability using semantic techniques. Finally, the efficiency of the components of our framework is proved by comparing against state of the art techniques.
