Abstract

Human resources are the natural assets of any kind of organization. Each and every organization achieves it's objectives only through excellent-trained personnel. The study observes, how effective the training methods of TANGEDCO are and their influence on employee performance. Literature review exposes that training is one of the key elements that helps employees to gain knowledge and skill which motivate their performance. This study is an attempt to explore the relationship between the impact of training and development programmes on employees' performance among employees of Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd. (TANGEDCO) using Structural Equation modeling approach. The sample size of the study was 250 employees, those who have undergone technical training at TANGEDCO Training and Development Centre, Madurai. The conceptual model developed was found to be fit; hence all the measured variables are having significant relationship with the latent variables.
