Impact of Gender and Language Background on the Level of Anxiety of L2 Learners

Abstract

This paper deals with the investigation on the impact of gender and language background on the level of anxiety of L2 learners. Data are collected from the participants on the construct of the study. Means and standard deviations are calculated for finding the level of the anxiety. It is found in the study that there is s statistical significance in the level of anxiety of the target learners, there is an impact of gender and language background of the learners on their level of anxiety and there are major factors that induce anxiety in the language learners on the basis of which strategies have to be adopted for facilitating the process of effective language learning.
