Abstract The purpose of this research work is to find out the buying intention of consumer behavior towards organized retail stores in erode district. The objective of this study is to get the feedback about buying intention of consumer behavior towards organized retail stores and to study the demographic characteristics of consumer who prefer to make their purchases from organized retail stores in Erode district. The research design used in this study is descriptive research design. Cluster analysis is a multivariate statistical technique which groups’ unknown number of persons/objects/occasions into groups such that the members of each group are having similar characteristics/attributes. The collected data includes personal details, consumer opinion in the retail stores, services and current benefits provided in the retail stores, rewards, about their autonomy, recognition and competitiveness. The preferences of the consumers clearly indicate their importance of consumer buying behavior in influencing their purchase, the additional facilities expected, improvement expected in handling defective goods and many. The results may help the management of Retail stores to understand about the factors that influence the Buying intention of consumer behavior towards organized retail stores.
