Abstract

Jarir was one of the well-known poets during times of Umayyad which respected ignorance literature and the poets of prior to himself, and because of these, much of his poem contents were indirectly taken from the poets before him. Like those poets, in his odesintroductions, he described women generally, his beloved and then praised implicitly. Furthermore in some of his odes, he followed the master plan, general structures, contents and poem images of ignorant Arabs odes. The purpose of this paper is examining the introduction of one of Jarir odes, and being influenced by ignorant literature`s meanings and picture poems, especially the ode of Banat Soad from kaabibn-e (son) Zahir.
