Justice perception and innovative work behaviour among managerial personnel

Abstract

Because of global competition in market and diversity in work force, issue of organizational justice and innovative work behaviors are prevailing theme for present day organizational. These are crucial factor for organizational effectiveness and employees’ well-being. In this study an attempt was made to explore the linkage between organizational justice and innovative work behaviour of executives. For this purpose present study was conducted on 210 managerial personnel of different private sector organizations from India. Organizational justice was measured by using Work Practice Inventory which was developed during present investigation whereas innovative work behaviour was measured by Innovative Work Behavior Scale (Janssen (2000). Obtained data was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of correlational analysis indicate organizational justice and its dimensions were significantly positively correlated with innovative work behaviour and its three dimensions while, regression analysis explore the significant positive association of interpersonal dimension of organizational justice with idea generation and idea promotion, whereas informational dimension of organizational justice positively associated with idea implementation and overall innovative wok behaviour.
