Online published on 28 August, 2014. Abstract Crown Ethers are macropolyethers, which are basically neutral compounds and contain cavity, in which cations can be encapsuled. These compounds form complexes with a host cation including alkali and alkaline earth metal ions. The behaviour of these complexes in a particular solvent is of great analytical importance. The purpose of the present work is to study the behaviour of complexes of some of these monovalent cations with 15 Crown 5 (15C) and 18 Crown 6 (18C6) in these EC water mixtures. For the determination of the formation constatnt the conductance measurements of the solutions were done and then the results were computed with the already reported conductance data in 20, 40, 60 and 80 wt% EC + Water mixtures.
