An Empirical Study on Investor's Motivation to Invest in Capital Market

Abstract

Saving as well as investment are two prevalent parameter which take part in a tremendous role in economic development of a country. A customer's investment changes at any given on the mark, sometimes enjoying surpluses and at other times suffering a loss. Auxiliary income is usually spent on durable goods or to increase financial wealth. The variations in financial wealth i.e. an increase or a decrease, indicates the flow of a household's savings for the same period. Financial fortunes include all wealth such as cash, savings, stocks and bonds, receivables etc. excluding fixed assets. As the return on investment is not always clear, so the household investors prepare the line of attack so as to face the continuing challenges in investment in capital market. Investor's investment line of attack may depend on perception of financial markets. This paper tries to traces the trends, composition, investor's satisfaction in different types of investment, relative attractiveness of different types of financial investments, how investors would invest money in near future and will provide information how household investor's think and invest in India.
