A Study on Employee Engagement in Cement Industries, Coimbatore

Abstract

The enthusiasm and commitment can be the driving force for the engaged employees in the organization. The employee engagement creates the positive relationship between the employee and its organization. The researcher studied the employee engagement in cement industries at Coimbatore. Career Development, Flexible Timings, Fair Pay, Learning Culture, Transparency, Autonomy, Motivation, Recognition and Interpersonal Relationship are the factors considered for employee engagement study. The data collection was done with support of structured questionnaire. 85 sample sizes are determined from the cement industries at Coimbatore. The frequency distribution, mean and standard deviation, Analysis of Variance is the analysis used as the techniques. The result showed that there was a significant difference in transparency among the respondents of different gender groups and no significant difference in research variables among the respondents of different age groups.
